Abraham Esguerra

Abe joined Ware Malcomb in 2020 and was promoted to Director, Information Technology in 2022.  As Director, Information Technology, Abraham is responsible for managing the daily operations of IT for the firm that includes the service desk, network infrastructure, and communication systems.  Abe oversees the execution of the IT function, ensuring alignment with the business goals and objectives, while supporting the firm’s strategic initiatives and directions from the Principal of IT.

Abe manages a team of IT specialists and engineers, developing and implementing IT policies and standards, and ensuring compliance and security.  While partnering with business leaders and the firm’s Digital Transformation team, he fosters innovation and collaboration, and works to help promote the firm through innovation with projects like PlanSpot.io.

Abe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona and close to completing a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Louisiana State University, Shreveport.

Since 1998, Abe has successfully led digital transformations and delivered complex IT projects across, AEC and IT services organizations.  He was an active member of the San Diego CIO Roundtable and American Institute of Technology Professionals (AITP) while working in the region until 2017.  Abe has been featured several times in the San Diego Business Journal as a Top Tech Exec award nominee and honored as the large firm Top Technology Executive in 2014.
