OAK BROOK, Ill. (June 6, 2024) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced that Nick Edwards has been promoted to Studio Manager, Architecture and Mike Piraino has been promoted to Studio Manager, Interior Architecture & Design in the firm’s Oak Brook office.
As Studio Manager, Architecture, Edwards helps lead the growth and management of the Architecture Studio and manages select projects. He joined Ware Malcomb in 2021 as Project Manager and has overseen all aspects of architectural projects. In addition, he has been instrumental in fostering client relationships and team member development. Edwards is a licensed architect and has been involved in the industry since 2011, and provides significant architectural design expertise to the studio. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Ohio State University, and a Master of Architecture degree from University of Illinois Chicago.

With his promotion to Studio Manager, Interior Architecture & Design, Piraino helps lead the growth and management of the Interior Architecture & Design Studio. In his six years at Ware Malcomb, he has overseen a majority of the industrial tenant improvements and build-to-suit projects for the Oak Brook office.

Piraino brings more than 23 years of experience to his role, adept with a variety of project types including corporate headquarters, office, multifamily, industrial and manufacturing projects. He is skilled at leading projects from initial master planning and design stages through to successful construction completion. A licensed architect in the state of Illinois, Piraino attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he earned Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and Master of Architecture degrees.
