At Ware Malcomb, we pride ourselves on our commitment to the communities we serve, and one cause that is particularly close to our hearts is the fight against breast cancer. This year marked our 12th consecutive year participating in the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk in Orange County. As a company, this annual campaign is not just about raising funds, but also about standing together in solidarity with those affected by breast cancer, promoting awareness, and fostering a sense of community.
In 2024, our Irvine office once again rose to the occasion, proudly representing Ware Malcomb in the fight against breast cancer. With immense gratitude for our incredible team members, family, friends, and fundraising partners, we are happy to announce that this year we raised over $11,200 for Susan G. Komen to help fund vital research, patient support, and community programs.
One highlight of this year’s campaign was Ware Malcomb being featured on ABC News in Los Angeles—twice! Our team’s dedication and passion for the cause were showcased, with a studio interview where I had the honor of sharing my personal breast cancer journey, followed by an on-site feature where our awesome team was showcased in action. It was a proud moment for everyone involved to see our collective efforts highlighted to such a wide audience, amplifying the message of unity and support in the fight against breast cancer.
In addition to the walk, our fundraising efforts were supported by a series of creative, engaging events that brought our Irvine team together. From our July Bingo Event to the Luau Activity Relay & Luncheon in September, we kept our momentum going throughout the summer. We also hosted an October Breast Cancer Awareness Bake Sale, where our talented team members whipped up delicious treats—raising an impressive $715! Whether through baking, walking, donating, or simply cheering from the sidelines, our WM community came together to make a difference.
We want to express our gratitude to the following organizations that donated to our campaign this year , including Wright Engineers, Murtaugh Law, Karbon Pay, Trazo Drafting Service, Leslie Consulting Group, KCOMM, Piscatello Design Center, Kimberly Roush (All Star Coaching), Molly Walsh (Standout Consulting), and Aaron Shaffer (Shaffer Psychology).
As a 13-year breast cancer survivor, this year’s campaign holds deep personal significance for me. Leading Ware Malcomb’s involvement in Susan G. Komen’s mission is a way for me to give back and support others who are facing the same battle I once fought. Together, we’re creating a community of hope, compassion, and strength.
Thank you to everyone who made this year’s campaign a success. We couldn’t have done it without you. To learn more about how you can get involved in supporting Susan G.
