Reaching for the Cure: PCRF 2023

We recently completed our 11th campaign in support of the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF)

At Ware Malcomb, we continually focus on making a positive impact in our communities. As part of our WM Community program, team Ware Malcomb recently completed our 11th campaign in support of Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF). The foundation, which was founded in 1982, has invested more than $43 million in pediatric cancer research, helping to save countless young lives in the process. In addition to saving lives, the foundation has helped to dramatically improve patient care for children battling cancer, which has allowed children to grow up to become healthy adults.

Annually since 2012, we’ve hosted numerous in-house events in a companywide effort to raise money and awareness for this mission-driven organization. On March 26th, we again were involved in PCRF’s Reach for the Cure. This annual tradition includes in-person and virtual options to either walk or run in a variety of distances, including a 5K, 10K, half marathon and 1k kid’s run, all to assist PCRF in reaching their donation goal. Eleven of our offices participated in races across North America.

We are happy to announce that PCRF has exceeded their 2023 goal of $400,000 with the help of many sponsors and teams, including Ware Malcomb. Thank you to everyone who participated and joined this special campaign. With the help of hundreds of our team members across the company, as well as friends, family and our industry partners, we raised more than $17,000 to help fund pediatric cancer research this year. Ware Malcomb ranked #7 Top Team Overall and #4 Top Corporate Team in terms of fundraising. Some of our team fundraising events included a silent auction, companywide bingo, Superbowl squares and a March Madness bracket challenge. Overall, we’ve raised $81,486 for PCRF over the last eleven years.

Thank you to our Team Captains Yolanda Conner and Kristen Lazatin, along with an amazing committee of WM team members from across the firm. Special thanks to Colleen M. Nolan and Murtaugh Treglia Stern & Deily LLP for being sponsors as well as the following donors for contributing and helping us reach the record setting number:
