VAUGHAN, Ontario (February 6, 2025) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced the promotions of Catalina Rocha to Director, Architecture and Amanda Kavanaugh to Director, Interior Architecture & Design in the firm’s Vaughan, Ontario office.
In her new role as Director, Architecture, Rocha, will focus on growing the region’s commercial architecture portfolio. A licensed architect with 30 years of experience, she has been promoted several times since joining the firm in 2013 as project manager. Having worked on numerous key industrial, office and retail projects in the region, Rocha is skilled in project management, consultant and client coordination, design development, contract documents and contract administration.

Rocha earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia and a Graduate Degree in Construction Management from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. She is certified by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board and is a registered architect with the Ontario Association of Architects.
As Director, Interior Architecture & Design, Kavanaugh will continue driving growth and excellence in the firm’s interior design practice. She joined Ware Malcomb in 2022 and quickly established herself as a leader, earning a promotion to Studio Manager within months of her arrival at the firm.
With more than 14 years of industry experience, Kavanaugh is a talented interior designer with an extensive track record in corporate office, workplace, workplace strategy and conceptual design. In addition to her considerable design skills, she has supplied leadership in business development, operations, recruitment, staff development and quality assurance/control for the office.

Kavanaugh earned a diploma in Interior Design from Sheridan College and is a member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) and the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC).
