Mark Schwamel

Mark has been involved in the industry since 1999. As Director, Interior Architecture & Design, Mark is responsible for leading the downtown Chicago office and overseeing the growth of the Architecture and Interiors Studios in the Chicagoland market.

Combining business performance and design excellence, Mark specializes in creating user-focused environments while delivering projects that raise his clients’ profiles and brands. His portfolio includes workplace, mixed-use, retail, and multifamily projects.

With a commitment to serving his community and the architecture profession, Mark has held several leadership positions, both locally and nationally, for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) including President of the AIA Illinois State Board (2017) and the National AIA Strategic Council (class of 2022). Mark was the Creator and Co-Founder of the AIA Chicago Bridge Mentoring Program which received a Presidential Citation award from AIA Chicago in 2009.
