LOS ANGELES (November 1, 2022) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced Francisco Arias has been promoted to Director, Design in the firm’s Los Angeles office. In this position, Arias will assist in the growth and evolution of Ware Malcomb’s national design platform, specifically within the Southern California region.
Arias joined Ware Malcomb’s Los Angeles office in 2019 as a Senior Project Designer, and, in 2021, was promoted to Studio Manager. With more than 14 years of architectural design and master planning expertise, he has created quality design solutions and developed strong relationships with Ware Malcomb clients in the Los Angeles market. Arias has extensive experience in a variety of project types including retail, mixed-use developments, industrial, low- and high-rise office buildings and healthcare facilities.

Arias holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California (USC). He is active in the architecture industry, serving on AIA LA’s Architecture for Communities Los Angeles (ACLA) Board of Directors. He is also an advisor for ACLA’s 2X8 student competition committee, a mentor to USC Architectural Guild students, and voting member of the Jean Roth Driskell Scholarship Committee for the AIA Foothill Chapter.
