MEXICO CITY (February 18, 2025) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced the promotions of Sofia Chagolla to Director, Resource Services and Fernando Navarro to Director, Site Supervision in the firm’s Mexico City office.
As Director, Resource Services, Sofia Chagolla will oversee operations for all Mexico Production Studios and continue advancing interiors production processes under the Interior Architecture Group’s direction. With a degree in Architecture from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Chagolla has more than 15 years of architectural design expertise and has worked on a wide variety of project types including office, industrial, public and retail.
Chagolla joined Ware Malcomb in 2015 and quickly established herself as a high performer, growing the Mexico production team into the company’s largest studio. In her previous role as Studio Manager, Production, she led the Studio East production team supporting the firm’s East Coast, Canada and Mexico offices to develop architecture and interiors construction documents with their diverse and specific needs.

As Director, Site Supervision, Fernando Navarro will continue to focus on the growth and expansion of the firm’s Site Supervision team, with a goal of broadening the team’s focus to multifamily, science and tech projects. With a degree in Architecture from Tecnológico de Monterrey, he has more than 25 years of experience in speculative, industrial, logistics and manufacturing projects.

Since joining Ware Malcomb in 2018 to lead the firm’s Site Supervision services in Mexico City, Navarro has contributed significantly to the diversification of the firm’s client list and product types. He has grown the group to 38 employees and serves as a technical resource for all Mexico City staff, while managing the complexities of providing a service unique to Mexico and spread across multiple time zones.
