IRVINE, Calif. (November 17, 2022) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, was recognized with two significant honors in the month of November. The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Orange County, honored Ware Malcomb as an “Outstanding Honoree Firm” in the Medium Corporation category at their 37th Orange County National Philanthropy Day on November 17. Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF) honored Ware Malcomb on November 5 at their annual Bid for the Kids Gala with the “Save a Life” award.
Ware Malcomb was nominated as an AFP “Outstanding Honoree” by Orange County United Way, PCRF, and Susan G. Komen, Orange County. AFP, Orange County recognizes contributions through a volunteer panel of community leaders who review all AFP submissions and select outstanding honorees in several categories.

Armstrong and his wife Sandy were also honored by AFP, Northeast Ohio with the “Outstanding Philanthropist Award” on November 4 for their philanthropic efforts with Kent State University. Both alumni, the couple have generously offered time for various philanthropic initiatives beyond their volunteer service. These include hosting prospect and donor events, taking part in Kent State Florence alumni tours and serving as keynote speakers helping inspire philanthropy and volunteerism.
For Ware Malcomb’s second honor, PCRF recognized the firm at their annual event. Celebrations culminate in the organization’s annual Bid for the Kids Gala, held this year at the Lido House in Newport Beach. At the gala, PCRF honors individuals and companies for their dedication and steadfast support of PCRF’s mission. Ware Malcomb was honored with their “Save a Life” award for the company’s 10+ years raising awareness and funds for PCRF’s annual Reaching for the Cure event.
