Ware Malcomb provided architecture, interior architecture & design, civil engineering, building measurement, and furniture management services for AMS Industries’ 40,000 SF office expansion in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The project involved the adaptive reuse of a former LA Fitness facility, requiring significant interior demolition and reconstruction, including infilling an existing pool, removing courts and play areas, and expanding the mezzanine.
Existing building elements such as the basketball court and locker room infrastructure were selectively retained and repurposed to support new workplace amenities and program needs. The resulting design delivers a highly functional, branded environment that integrates large open work areas, collaborative spaces, and amenity zones while reinforcing AMS Industries’ identity through cohesive industrial detailing.
