The Schneider Electric tenant improvement project in Milton, Ontario, marks a pivotal transition for the company as it relocated from its current facility . The new facility accommodates Schneider Electric’s diverse operational needs, including an 18,000 SF single-storey office, 1,000 SF of technical laboratories, and 32,643 SF dedicated to warehouse storage and production. A key aspect of this fit-up is the relocation and integration of existing equipment from the Mississauga facility, including two cranes and storage racks, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to operations.
Ware Malcomb was as the Prime Consultant, offering a comprehensive suite of services including architecture, interior architecture and design, mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, structural, industrial/process engineering, and furniture coordination. The project was executed in a single-phase approach, encompassing the Warehouse, EcoFit Production, Office, Laboratories, and Electrification areas. Our design approach emphasized creating a cohesive and efficient workspace that supports Schneider Electric’s dynamic work culture, with open-plan workspaces, private offices, and advanced technical laboratories.
Sustainability is at the forefront of the design, using eco-friendly materials and implementing energy-efficient systems throughout the facility, including LED lighting, energy-efficient HVAC systems, and smart building technologies. The design also incorporates natural light and green spaces to promote employee well-being and productivity.
